Human Resources Team Lead

About the role

Brenntag Algeria Chimie is seeking a proactive Human Resources Team Lead to oversee HR operations across the North Africa region (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco). The role will be based in Algeria and will drive recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and HR compliance for the entire Maghreb footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes: post ads, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and onboard new hires.
• Administer monthly payroll, calculate deductions, bonuses, and address employee payroll queries.
• Prepare and deliver HR reports for senior management and finance.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, regional labor laws, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Oversee benefits administration, claims resolution, and communication of global HR information.
• Support performance management, including evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Lead HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, training programs, and company events.
• Maintain HR systems and databases, guaranteeing data accuracy.
• Continuously improve HR processes, tools, and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• 3‑5 years of experience as an HR specialist or supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance.
• People‑oriented, results‑driven with proven experience using HR metrics.
