About the role

Baladna El Djazaier is building a $3.5 billion agro‑industrial hub in Algeria. The company seeks a Procurement Category Lead to drive category strategy, sourcing and supplier management for its large‑scale dairy and agricultural operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories.
• Lead sourcing activities, tender processes and contract negotiations.
• Manage supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations.
• Identify cost‑saving and value‑creation opportunities across the supply chain.
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and mitigate supply‑chain risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of procurement experience, including category management and strategic sourcing.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and lead cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Supplier management and contract negotiation.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced analytical capabilities.
