Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will support manufacturing, field operations, technology and project management teams by planning and executing sourcing activities at the plant level. Reporting to a direct supervisor, the role ensures that goods and services are obtained efficiently, cost‑effectively and in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute sourcing of goods and services to meet strategic plans for manufacturing, field operations, technology and projects.
• Apply Category Management strategies and comply with related policies and procedures.
• Issue purchase orders based on material requirements from production, field or project teams.
• Negotiate and implement local procurement agreements for items not covered by Category Management.
• Create Request for Quotations (RFQs) and manage competitive bidding processes to secure the best quality, delivery and price.
• Assess and monitor supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a technical, business or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement or a production environment.
• Advanced procurement certification (e.g., CPM) preferred.
• Knowledge of Purchase‑to‑Pay processes is desirable.
