Administrative Manager – School Operations

About the role

The American International School of Algiers is seeking an organized, detail‑oriented Administrative Manager to oversee finance, operations, and compliance for the 2025‑2026 school year. You will work closely with the Head of School and the Board to ensure the school runs smoothly, transparently, and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and manage the annual budget in partnership with senior leadership.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, produce monthly and annual financial reports, and support the external audit.
• Oversee tuition billing, collections, accounts payable and receivable.
• Manage procurement, vendor negotiations, and day‑to‑day facilities operations.
• Supervise maintenance, security and transportation staff, ensuring health, safety and security standards.
• Ensure compliance with Algerian regulations, maintain contracts, insurance and risk‑management documentation.
• Develop and improve administrative policies, procedures and workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience in school or nonprofit finance and administration.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounting principles and financial controls.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple operational areas.
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements for international schools.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, families and external partners.
