Audio Visual Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Audio Visual Technician to join our team at the Algiers Marriott Hotel. The role involves setting up, operating and maintaining AV, projection, lighting and conferencing equipment for banquet and meeting rooms, ensuring seamless guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and troubleshoot all AV, projection, lighting and video‑conferencing equipment.
• Oversee equipment installation in banquet and meeting rooms and verify against the Banquet Event Order.
• Label, repair, clean and secure any faulty equipment, and report issues to management.
• Dress and tape down cables, manage loose wiring and ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist guests with equipment usage, promote additional AV services and monitor equipment performance.
• Break down and store equipment after events, following Marriott Visual Productions SOPs.
• Adhere to all safety, security and company policies, and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with audio‑visual equipment in a hospitality or event setting.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb.
