About the role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our culinary team at Le Méridien in Oran. The successful candidate will prepare, portion, and cook a variety of foods while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, and peeling fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality checklists.
• Cook foods using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, testing for proper doneness.
• Prepare cold dishes, set up and break down work stations, and serve food in correct portions.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including tools, knives, and equipment.
• Monitor appliance and food temperatures, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related experience in food preparation or butchery.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive motions.
