Commis Patissier

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a motivated Commis Patissier to join its kitchen team in Oran. You will support the pastry department by preparing a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts while adhering to the brand’s quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare doughs, fillings, proof, bake, and decorate breads and pastries according to production sheets.
• Follow recipes, quality guidelines, and food‑prep checklists to ensure consistent presentation.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food‑safety compliance and report temperature issues.
• Communicate excess inventory to the Chef for daily special planning.
• Use baking equipment and measuring tools safely and accurately.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching as needed.
• Uphold personal hygiene, uniform standards, and company policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in a bakery or pastry environment.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb, stand for long periods, and work on uneven surfaces.
