Employee Life Cycle Excellence Lead Africa

About the role

The Employee Life Cycle Excellence Lead Africa drives operational excellence across the entire employee lifecycle (hire to exit) by optimizing processes, systems and data-driven insights, ensuring a seamless, efficient and employee-centric experience. The role covers the PLC business processes of hire, onboarding, job change, time, termination and data quality, and works closely with the People Life Cycle Head Africa, People Excellence, T2P, Digital Business Partners, Workplace Experience and People Services front-line teams. It may be assigned specific sub-processes or countries.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence across PLC business processes (hire, onboarding, job change, time, termination and data quality).
• Ensure systems efficiency in line with Sanofi standards and global policies, and deploy and evolve end-to-end ELC processes (onboarding, mobility, contractual changes, offboarding).
• Act as focal point for P&C system and tool requests, owning and following up service, support and change requests.
• Own KPIs and SLAs, lead data quality reviews with countries, run audits and remediation plans.
• Handle payroll inputs control for Africa and follow up on PLC activities supported by the Hub.
• Manage local legal specifics, with a focus on African countries, and drive continuous improvement through simplification and harmonization across Africa.
• Take accountability for P&C tools and systems, supporting their adoption and applying them across assigned work.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR operations / people services.
• Strong expertise in HR systems and tools, with a good level of use of AI tools.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve HR operations (data quality, reporting, process automation).
• Cross-functional people leadership and influence, strategic thinking, and good knowledge of labour law and African HR practices.
• Able to identify, prioritize and drive AI and automation opportunities.
