General Cashier

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented General Cashier to join the Finance team at Holiday Inn Algiers – Cheraga Tower. The role involves managing the hotel’s cash handling activities, ensuring accurate reconciliation, and supporting financial controls in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cash handling activities in accordance with IHG policies and internal control procedures.
• Collect, verify and reconcile cash receipts from all hotel revenue outlets.
• Prepare daily cash reports and bank deposits, ensuring timely banking of funds.
• Maintain accurate cash records, supporting documents, and audit trails.
• Investigate cash discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure proper custody and security of cash and other negotiable items.
• Support month‑end closing activities and financial audits.
• Assist the Finance team with financial reporting and administrative tasks as required.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar position, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in French and English.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with hotel financial systems is an advantage.
