About the role
This position supports Marriott International's Human Resources function in Algiers by handling administrative tasks, maintaining employee records, and assisting candidates throughout the hiring process. The role requires strong organizational skills and a professional demeanor to ensure smooth HR operations.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain filing systems for personnel documents.
- Prepare and type office correspondence using a computer.
- Distribute and route mail, and manage HR office supplies and forms.
- Answer phone calls, record messages, and provide courteous guest reception.
- Create new employee personnel files and assist walk‑in candidates with application procedures.
- Maintain a clean, accessible application area, including accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
- Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR policies, programs, and guidelines.
- Inform HR management of employee‑relations issues and ensure confidentiality of all records.
- Enter and locate work‑related information using computer systems.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of related work experience in an administrative or HR setting.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
Required skills
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and office software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
