Lead Engineer

About the role

We are building a highly resilient software ecosystem that relies on an AI‑first development paradigm and external development partners. As Lead Engineer you will act like a VP of Engineering, ensuring the quality, reliability and predictability of our software evolution while orchestrating AI‑generated code and remote talent.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technical delivery of an external ad‑tech development agency and structure future ad‑hoc freelance onboarding.
• Translate business needs into explicit, self‑sufficient technical specifications usable by AI agents or external developers.
• Oversee high‑level system architecture across GCP, Rust, React, PostgreSQL and stream‑processing components, guaranteeing scalability and integrity.
• Drive adoption of AI‑first workflows, including AI code generation tools and agentic CLI utilities.
• Integrate AI into CI/CD pipelines for automated reviews, security checks and quality gates.
• Enforce a strict open‑source‑style governance model with asynchronous communication, exhaustive documentation and rigorous quality controls.

Required profile

• Deep technical expertise with the ability to dive into codebases when critical.
• Experience leading large‑scale engineering initiatives, comparable to a VP of Engineering.
• Proven track record managing external development teams and remote talent.
• Comfort with AI‑augmented development lifecycles and rigorous documentation practices.
