About the role

The Magasinier ensures that all merchandise and supplies are received, stored, and distributed efficiently within the hotel. This position supports the smooth operation of food service areas by maintaining accurate inventory and adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and deliver them to the appropriate areas.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, notifying supervisors of low stock.
• Store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and inspect deliveries for freshness and quality.
• Refuse damaged or incorrect items and follow food safety and handling procedures.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets, and communicate courteously with guests and coworkers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Capability to work in narrow, elevated, or uneven spaces and navigate stairs or ramps.
• Commitment to food safety, quality assurance, and company policies.
