Maintenance Officer

About the role

BAT Algeria is looking for a motivated Maintenance Officer to lead a team focused on trade marketing and distribution. You will be responsible for growing market share, ensuring product availability and visibility, and driving sales performance across the assigned area.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Area Trade Marketing & Distribution plan aligned with regional objectives.
• Achieve targets for availability, visibility, volume, market share, quality (e.g., RQI) and customer pricing.
• Provide competitor activity reports and daily forecasts to optimise stock levels at distributor warehouses.
• Manage distributors to maximise volume, visibility and in‑store presence within budget.
• Track and evaluate the performance of the Trade Marketing & Distribution team.
• Execute action plans after distribution gap analysis and monitor cycle plan objectives.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar role with team‑management responsibilities.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commercial Sciences or a related field.
• Fluency in French and Arabic; intermediate English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in trade systems and numerical analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills.
