Operator I

About the role

The Operator I is responsible for running a variety of production equipment to manufacture and package cloth‑based wipes. This role ensures high‑quality output while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate converting line equipment to load, thread, cut, fold, saturate and stack cloth materials.
• Run packaging equipment, loading and threading film and labels to create complete wipe packages.
• Manage automated pick‑and‑place boxing lines, load boxes onto skids, shrink‑wrap, and transport pallets using a pallet jack.
• Perform cleaning, hand‑packing, and other support activities as needed.
• Read and follow equipment procedures, set up machines safely, and document machine parameters.
• Identify machine failures, make adjustments, or involve maintenance.
• Monitor product quality and adjust processes to meet specifications.
• Maintain equipment and production area cleanliness and serve as backup for other positions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or at least 2 years of experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand charts, indicators, control instructions, and operator checklists in English.
• Basic math skills, including fractional and decimal calculations.
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 50 lb and work in warm or cold environments.
