Operator I – Manufacturing Production

About the role

The Operator I is responsible for running converting line equipment, packaging machinery, and automated pick‑and‑place boxing lines in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The role ensures products are produced to quality specifications while maintaining equipment safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Operate converting line equipment to load, thread, cut, fold, saturate, and stack various cloth materials.
• Operate packaging equipment, including loading and threading film and labels to create complete wipe packages.
• Run automated pick‑and‑place boxing lines, load boxes onto skids, shrink‑wrap, and transport pallets using a pallet jack.
• Perform cleaning, hand‑packing, and other support activities for manufacturing.
• Read and follow equipment procedures to set up and run machines safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Adjust processes to meet product quality specifications and document parameters on required forms.
• Conduct regular cleaning of equipment and production areas and serve as backup for other positions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years of experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Capability to lift objects up to 50 lb and work in warm or cold conditions.

Required skills

• Operating converting line, packaging, and automated pick‑and‑place equipment.
• Reading and interpreting equipment charts, indicators, and control checklists.
• Basic math skills, including fractional and decimal calculations.
• Equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance coordination.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb and perform repetitive motions.
