Operator I – Manufacturing & Packaging

About the role

The Operator I works on a high‑volume manufacturing floor, operating converting and packaging equipment to produce cloth‑based wipes. The role ensures smooth production flow, maintains product quality, and supports overall plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate converting line equipment to load, thread, cut, fold, saturate, and stack various cloth materials.
• Run packaging equipment, loading and threading film and labels to create complete wipe packages of exceptional quality.
• Manage automated pick‑and‑place boxing lines, load boxes onto skids, shrink‑wrap, and transport pallets to the finished‑goods area using a pallet jack.
• Perform cleaning, hand‑packing, and other manufacturing support activities.
• Read and follow equipment procedures, set up machines safely, and avoid damage.
• Identify machine failures, make corrections, or involve maintenance as needed.
• Monitor process parameters and adjust to meet product specifications and quality standards.
• Document machine attributes and production data on required forms and logs.
• Complete regular equipment and area cleaning, serve as backup for other positions, and undertake additional projects assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand charts, indicators, control instructions, and operator checklists.
• Proficiency in English (read, write, and understand).
• Basic math skills, including fractional and decimal calculations.
• Capability to lift objects up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to work in both warm and cold environments.
