About the role

The British Council is seeking a passionate Part‑Time English Teacher to deliver high‑quality lessons to a diverse learner base. This 16‑hour per week position focuses on fostering effective communication skills and supporting the organisation’s global English strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English language lessons in line with British Council Global Teaching Standards.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and encourage learner autonomy.
• Participate in staff meetings, contribute to course development and continuous improvement of teaching materials.
• Support centre activities such as local marketing initiatives and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and share best practices with colleagues.
