Petrophysicist

About the role

The Petrophysicist provides technical expertise to ensure safe, efficient and reliable delivery of products and services to customers. Working closely with operations, sales and product delivery teams, the role supports real‑time operations, drives continuous improvement and promotes new technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with operations groups to support petrophysics expertise and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide real‑time technical support throughout sales, product and service delivery processes.
• Assist in developing technical job designs and evaluating cost‑effective techniques.
• Explore value‑added product and service opportunities and support incident response, recovery and investigations.
• Evaluate technical viability of tenders and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging technologies.
• Maintain visibility with customers through professional society participation, technical publications and collaborations with universities and research institutes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of petrophysics concepts and their application in oil‑field operations.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to stay current on new technologies and industry best practices.
