Repair Technician – Turbomachinery

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Repair Technician to join its Turbomachinery Process Solutions product line. The role focuses on inspecting, repairing, and testing rotating components of gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and steam turbines, ensuring they meet strict engineering and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute inspection and repair tasks according to detailed work instructions.
• Assemble and disassemble components such as gas turbines, compressors, and valves using assembly drawings and bills of material.
• Perform functional testing and operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards.
• Calibrate, set, and maintain assembly tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Balance rotors and piece parts ranging from 1 to 30 tons.
• Complete digital inspection forms and adhere to quality, health, safety, and environmental directives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience repairing gas turbine and centrifugal compressor components.
• Experience with large‑tonnage rotor balancing and critical lifting certification (1‑40 tons).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and safety standards.
• Team player capable of working with minimal supervision while following safety procedures.
