Reservations Agent – Hotel Front Desk

About the role

The Reservations Agent is responsible for managing all reservation requests for the Marriott Hotel in Algiers. You will ensure accurate bookings, handle changes and cancellations, and provide guests with clear information about rates, guarantees and policies while delivering Marriott’s standard of wonderful hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, modifications and cancellations received by phone, fax or email.
• Identify guest needs, verify room availability and rate, and explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies.
• Enter and update reservations in the hotel’s reservation system, including special codes for complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel‑agent rates and wholesale bookings.
• Document and accommodate special guest requests and answer questions about hotel facilities and services.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue and follow escalation procedures for guest concerns.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and uphold company policies.
• Assist guests with disabilities and ensure courteous telephone etiquette.
• Perform light physical tasks such as moving items up to 10 lb.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Algiers.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn reservation software.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 10 lb.
