Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Motorola Solutions is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, integration, deployment and optimisation of mission‑critical network infrastructures for public‑safety technologies such as Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Computer‑Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end routing, switching and security architecture across on‑premise data centres, remote public‑safety sites and hybrid/multi‑cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Design and implement QoS/CoS policies for real‑time voice, video and telemetry over IP/MPLS, microwave links, dark fibre and LTE backhauls.
• Conduct site surveys, produce high‑level and low‑level designs, and manage zero‑downtime migrations.
• Act as Tier 3/4 escalation point for complex outages, packet loss, routing anomalies and performance bottlenecks.
• Enforce CJIS, NIST and NIMS security guidelines across firewalls, VPN tunnels, ACLs and zero‑trust segmentation.
• Mentor junior engineers, review designs and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 7+ years of professional network engineering or security experience.
• Full professional proficiency in Arabic, French and English.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation v4, Juniper JNCIP or Cisco CCNP are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Routing and switching (IP/MPLS, VLANs, BGP, OSPF).
• Network security – Palo Alto and Juniper SRX firewalls, VPN, ACLs, zero‑trust segmentation.
• QoS/CoS policy design for voice, video and telemetry.
• Experience with hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of microwave, dark‑fibre and LTE backhaul technologies.
• Multicast and unicast traffic engineering.
