Site Manager Algeria (EPC Projects)

About the role

G+D, an international technology group with over 14,000 employees in 40 countries, is looking for a Site Manager in Algeria. The role leads and manages EPC, machinery and plant engineering project sites, ensuring successful delivery in cost, quality, schedule and safety. It covers installation, commissioning, start-up, resource planning and coordination with project teams and subcontractors, and acts as the main contact for customers, contractors, engineers and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full project, entity or sub-project sites for EPC, machinery and plant engineering projects, including commercial and technical interfaces
• Control cost, schedule, risk and resources while keeping the customer in mind
• Apply site management guidelines, protocols and procedures, and prepare site progress reports
• Lead the project-site team, sub-site managers and supervisors, covering infrastructure preparation, delivery reception, installation, commissioning and start-up
• Negotiate with customers, staff, engineers and authorities on costs, schedules, scope and terms, and handle change requests, claims and modifications
• Approve decisions within the site management scope and generate specifications for sub-suppliers
• Document meeting minutes, open-point lists and milestones, and record lessons learned

Required profile

• University degree (technical university or applied sciences) in mechanical, process or industrial engineering, or equivalent
• 10+ years of proven site management experience for mechanical and plant engineering EPC projects
• Experience managing subcontractors, customer interactions, claims and contract changes
• Ability to lead multicultural, multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders internationally
• Willingness to stay abroad for long periods on project-site missions
