Supply Chain Officer (P)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer (P) to support its Country Office. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Resources Management Officer, the officer will coordinate supply chain activities in partnership with the Regional Office for MENA (Egypt) and the Headquarters Supply Chain Division.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic planning for supply‑chain activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct logistics capacity assessments and market research to keep decision‑makers informed about local market trends.
• Coordinate and monitor planning, budgeting, scheduling, and provision of goods and services required by the Country Office.
• Prepare regular progress reports, statistical information and briefing notes.
• Manage procurement, warehouse operations, transport, fleet, assets, facilities, and logistics information systems.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on supply‑chain policies, rules and regulations.
• Identify bottlenecks through value‑stream mapping and propose process optimisations.

Required profile

• Experience in supply‑chain management, procurement and logistics within an international or humanitarian context.
• Ability to work closely with senior management, regional offices and headquarters.
• Strong analytical skills for market research and reporting.
