Tactical Sales & Business Development Manager

About the role

The Tactical Sales & Business Development Manager drives sales growth and uncovers new business opportunities for Alstom’s Products & Services within a defined region or cluster. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the role aligns customer needs with Alstom’s short‑cycle services portfolio, creating demand and fostering long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the installed base to understand existing customer assets and anticipate upgrade or replacement needs.
• Assess fleet age and condition, matching Alstom solutions to operational challenges.
• Generate leads by leveraging Return of Experience (RoE) and best practices from other Alstom units.
• Collaborate with Customer Directors, Parts & Overhaul, Asset Life Management, Digital Solutions, and Marketing to develop tailored offers.
• Maintain close links with internal teams such as Component Service Centers, Project Introduction, and engineering support.
• Act as a regional transformation leader, promoting Alstom’s short‑cycle services portfolio to end customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales or business development within the transport, rail or mobility sector.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate customer fleets and identify upgrade opportunities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, engineering, finance and legal teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
