Account Payable Foreign Supplier Accountant

About the role

The Account Payable Foreign Supplier Accountant is responsible for implementing and maintaining the accounting system, ensuring the accurate flow of financial documents, records, and reports, and keeping accounting books in compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the accounting system, ensuring accurate document flow and reporting.
• Verify, calculate, and process purchasing invoices, posting payables to supplier accounts.
• Perform quarterly and annual reconciliations.
• Coordinate with departments and suppliers to resolve financial and accounting issues.
• Support weekly and monthly financial closing activities, meeting statutory deadlines.
• Enforce internal controls and ensure compliance with tax and company policies.
• Monitor AP aging reports and improve payment accuracy and speed.
• Prepare periodic departmental reports and handle additional tasks as directed by the manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Knowledge of sales tax regulations, customs laws, and country‑specific financial regulations.
• Experience with financial reporting and accounts payable processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
