Assistant Manager Loss Prevention

About the role

The Assistant Manager Loss Prevention supports the Director of Engineering in safeguarding the Marriott Hotel in Algiers. This full‑time, onsite position ensures the protection of guests, employees, and property while maintaining compliance with legal and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in administering fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness plans.
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments, quarterly OSHA/Safety audits, and incident tracking.
• Develop and enforce shutdown procedures and key‑control guidelines.
• Maintain monthly checklists for CCTV, alarmed doors, and duress alarms; ensure equipment functionality.
• Perform regular interior and exterior patrols, including inspection of recording systems.
• Handle complaints, resolve disputes, and manage grievance processes.
• Oversee loss‑prevention operations such as patrols, emergency response, investigations, and shipping/receiving recommendations.
• Guide the Accident Prevention Committee, first‑aid program, and claims process.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of security/loss‑prevention experience, OR
• Associate degree in Criminal Justice (or related field) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CCTV and video‑surveillance systems.
• Knowledge of alarm systems, duress alarms, and electronic key‑control.
• Experience conducting OSHA safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Familiarity with fire‑prevention procedures and emergency response protocols.
