Security Manager – Algeria

About the role

BAT is seeking a Security Manager for its operations in Algeria. The role is responsible for protecting personnel, assets, information and business continuity through a risk‑based security approach, working closely with the Algeria Leadership Team and regional security functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the BAT Algeria security plan aligned with MENA strategy and Group requirements.
• Lead security risk management, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, mitigated and escalated as needed.
• Maintain effective security coverage for offices, factories, warehouses, fleet, field teams and business travel.
• Oversee physical security measures, access control, CCTV, intruder and fire detection, key and visitor management systems.
• Develop, test and improve site security procedures, emergency response and incident management processes.
• Provide security intelligence, threat assessments and travel advice for Algeria operations.
• Support business continuity planning, testing and activation in line with Group standards.
• Manage security incidents, investigations and reporting in coordination with Legal, HR, Compliance and Operations.
• Ensure compliance with BAT security policies, local laws and contractual obligations of service providers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate security or related security risk management functions.
• Strong understanding of physical security systems and business continuity principles.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent analytical, decision‑making and communication skills.
