About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead our Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance broking team in Mumbai/Pune. The role combines strategic oversight, client relationship management, and operational excellence to drive growth and service quality.
Key responsibilities
- Review and audit team outputs, providing feedback to maintain and improve quality standards.
- Investigate, research, and resolve client‑related issues independently.
- Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for clients, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Meet scale‑up and productivity targets, including service level, utilization, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Generate ideas, analyze operational risks, handle escalations, and collaborate with other leads to mitigate risks.
- Stay updated on industry changes and external factors affecting clients.
- Manage the open items log to ensure timely closure of outstanding tasks.
Required profile
- 20+ years of overall experience with 8‑10+ years in P&C insurance brokerage, preferably US geography.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and resources.
- Experience with accounts receivable/payables is a plus.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience using broker management systems.
