Chinese, Turkish, German and Italian Language Teacher

About the role

Advanced Pathways Algeria is looking for a Chinese, Turkish, German and Italian Language Teacher. The role delivers engaging language lessons to learners of varying levels and is part-time and hybrid, based in Hydra with some work-from-home flexibility for lesson preparation, online classes and student follow-up.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group and individual lessons
• Prepare teaching materials aligned with program objectives
• Assess learner progress through assignments, tests and feedback
• Adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and integrate cultural and practical language use
• Collaborate with the academic team to maintain high-quality language programs

Required profile

• Strong language teaching skills, able to teach Chinese, Turkish, German and/or Italian to learners at different proficiency levels
• Knowledge of literature in one or more of the target languages, to enrich the learning experience
• Relevant teaching experience in language centers, schools or universities; a degree or certification in Languages, Education or a related field is highly beneficial
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Hydra, using digital tools for online instruction
• Reliability, organization and a learner-centered approach
• Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and commitment to an inclusive, motivating environment

Required skills

• Lesson planning and education: designing structured lesson plans and selecting learning materials
• Proficiency in at least one of the target languages, with clear, accurate communication and strong classroom management
