Commercial Operations Manager

About the role

The Commercial Operations Manager will lead contract negotiation, risk assessment and commercial operations during the Inquiry‑to‑Order (ITO) phase. This role ensures commercial intensity, compliance with Grid Solutions Deal Risk Management policies and drives operational excellence throughout the deal lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redline and negotiate customer terms, conditions and other commercial contracts.
• Assess and maintain an acceptable risk profile for the company, identifying and registering risks in the Risk Assessment Matrix and Salesforce tools.
• Lead the development of contractual schemes and industrial models, coordinating with Tax, Legal, Finance, Controllers, Operations and EHS stakeholders.
• Own the Commercial Operations (ComOps) risk process, ensuring consistent ITO operations, governance and metric adherence.
• Draft, discuss and negotiate NDAs, consortium agreements and declaration forms with partners.
• Support ITO teams by applying KPIs, conducting risk/opportunity assessments and proposing mitigation strategies based on trend analysis and post‑mortems.
• Partner with regional sales teams to create winning proposals, meet order targets and drive financial KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial operations, contract management, sales, risk mitigation, tendering or project management.
• Fluent in English, French and Arabic.
• Strong contractual and negotiation capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce for risk tracking and contract management.
• Experience using risk assessment tools and matrices.
