Communication Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Algeria is seeking a Communication Associate to support the implementation of its communication and visibility activities. Working under the supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Communications Officer, the associate will help document and promote programme results, partnerships, and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing human‑interest stories, beneficiary testimonies, and impact narratives.
• Identify and package field‑based stories that align with institutional priorities and donor visibility requirements.
• Draft web stories, feature articles, and communication briefs highlighting programme outcomes.
• Update and maintain the Mission’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) with timely, donor‑compliant content.
• Monitor engagement trends and support basic performance tracking for content planning.
• Liaise with programme teams to gather updates, visuals, and information for visibility content.

Required profile

• Strong written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme teams and external partners.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet donor visibility guidelines.
