Controlling Operations GBU Service Manager – Africa

About the role

The Controlling Operations GBU Service Manager will lead the Africa MCO service management function within Sanofi's Regional Controlling Operations team. Reporting to the Regional Head of GBU/CF Service Management, the role ensures end‑to‑end service quality, drives operational collaboration, and supports the transition to the target FinOps model.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and monitor local and regional implementation plans, coordinating transformation activities with peers.
• Ensure end‑to‑end quality assurance by monitoring service levels and performance against agreed KPIs.
• Communicate KPI results and service performance to stakeholders.
• Gather local leader requirements, provide feedback, and align priorities while maintaining strong relationships.
• Translate local needs into operational actions and support major transformation programs such as the finance academy.
• Oversee operational excellence in business planning and budgeting processes.
• Prioritise continuous improvement initiatives and identify strategic areas for process optimisation.
• Establish and lead partner networks with local finance stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience within finance or controlling operations.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with local and regional stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Experience driving change and transformation programmes.
