Estimator II – Technical Solutions & Bid Proposals

About the role

The Estimator II is responsible for delivering high‑quality technical solutions and bid proposals on time, ensuring all Honeywell proposals and sales project files comply with company standards and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requests for quotation, technical drawings and other customer documents.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and internal support teams to define solutions that meet technical and commercial requirements.
• Identify third‑party content and work with Procurement to obtain technical and commercial offers.
• Coordinate with other business lines to gather additional technical and commercial inputs.
• Develop a detailed proposal plan outlining resources, responsibilities, deliverables and deadlines.
• Estimate internal hardware, software and services using Honeywell’s estimating tools; lead a team of estimators for complex proposals.
• Expedite and coordinate inputs from sales, operations, contracts, procurement and other support functions.
• Prepare full cost proposals covering Honeywell and third‑party items, contingencies and risk assessments.
• Manage internal processes such as kick‑off meetings, proposal reviews, risk/opportunity reviews and global approvals.
• Assemble the booking package and hand over to operations when a project is won.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Up to five years of experience in estimating, sales or project work.
• Fluent written and spoken French and English.
• Familiarity with Honeywell’s product portfolio and competitor solutions is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
