Finance Officer – Algeria Country Office

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Finance Officer to support the budgetary and financial functions of its Algeria Country Office. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Resources Management Officer, the role will work closely with the Regional Office, Headquarters’ Department of Financial and Administrative Management, and the Global Shared Services Centre. IOM, the leading UN agency on migration, works with governments and partners to promote humane and orderly migration, protect people on the move, and provide services and advice. Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resources Management Officer/Senior Resources Management Officer in monitoring and overseeing financial management for all country office activities.
• Ensure proper oversight of financial expenditures and accountability across programmes and projects.
• Support and coordinate the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the country office budget.
• Collaborate with regional and headquarters financial units to align financial processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Eligible first‑tier or second‑tier candidate as defined by IOM recruitment policy.
• Experience in financial management within an international or multilateral organization is desirable.
