Group Sales Manager

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a Group Sales Manager in Algiers (Trust Complex Buildings, Nouveau Quartier des Affaires, Bab Ezzouar). The position is accountable for proactively seeking and handling sales opportunities, ensuring business is turned over properly and in time for service delivery, and assisting in leading day-to-day sales activities focused on long-term, value-based customer relationships. It is a full-time management position.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips and trade shows, and coordinate with off-property sales channels so efforts are complementary and not duplicative.
• Develop relationships within the community and with key internal and external stakeholders, and provide accurate turnover to Event Management.
• Take part in sales calls with the sales team to acquire new business and close deals, and handle operational aspects such as proposals, contracts and customer correspondence.
• Identify new business to meet personal and location revenue goals, understand the market and competitors, and close the best opportunities for the location.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, support the company's service and relationship strategy, and gather guest feedback on product quality and service levels.

Required profile

• Education: either a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major with 3 years of sales and marketing experience, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in a related field with 1 year of experience.
• Experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.
