Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

About the role

JW Marriott is looking for a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor in its Trust Complex buildings in the Nouveau Quartier des Affaires, Algiers. The position is full time and non-management, within the Housekeeping and Laundry category. The supervisor checks that rooms and public areas meet quality standards after cleaning, runs room reports and coordinates housekeeping with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management with daily activities and act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry.
• Document and resolve discrepant rooms with the Front Desk, prepare and distribute room assignment changes, and brief the next shift.
• Help with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and coaching staff, and follow company safety and security policies.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and speak clearly and professionally.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 pounds, pushing a housekeeping cart and standing or sitting for long periods, and use computers and POS systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No license or certification required.
