Information Technology Manager

About the role

Repsol Exploration Algeria is looking for an Information Technology Manager to oversee the IT systems of the Groupement Reggane (GRN) in Adrar, Algeria. The role covers the operational and fiscal management of the department, supervision of staff, and maintenance of ICT systems across the GRN's drilling and construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and maintain systems and procedures to improve the department's efficiency, and organize preventive and corrective maintenance of IT systems, including contracting, engineering, construction and commissioning.
• Supervise staff in line with company policy, including hiring, training and coaching, and schedule staff, vacations, breaks, overtime and shifts.
• Manage the department's staffing levels, budgets and financial goals, and coordinate with service companies so applications, hardware, software and communications remain available at camps, wellsites and temporary bases.
• Maintain ICT systems, websites, PCs, operating systems, databases, phones, radios and software at BDV, CPF, rig sites and OSBL well locations.
• Evaluate, design, implement and maintain the ICT infrastructure supporting drilling operations, and define and update ICT policies, security standards and disaster recovery procedures.
• Coordinate the ICT team (local and expatriate), provide feedback to managers, and prepare tender documentation and evaluation reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an information technology field, or Master's level (Ingéniorat).
• At least 10 years of experience in IT systems management, including at least 5 years as an IT support or design manager.
• Experience in strategic planning, contracting, negotiation and change management, and in implementing IT integrations in a large company.
• Experience in the oil and gas exploration and production sector (offshore and/or onshore).
• High proficiency in spoken and written English; French and Spanish are desirable.
• Willingness to travel and to work in a 28x28 rotation schedule.
