Lead Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier qualification, audit execution, and continuous improvement for service providers supporting power‑plant maintenance projects across Europe. The role requires strong technical knowledge of repair and manufacturing processes, multilingual communication, and the ability to work autonomously with up to 50% international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and execute vendor qualifications from request validation to kick‑off and final documentation.
• Manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and lead root‑cause and corrective‑action activities with vendors.
• Design and conduct vendor surveillance audit plans on schedule.
• Monitor vendor performance and act as the primary point of contact for supplier quality within the assigned region.
• Assess and develop key vendors toward industrial standards of excellence.
• Build specialized expertise in supplier quality and field services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical preferred) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, maintenance, or field services.
• Fluent oral and written communication in French, English and Arabic.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % internationally and hold a valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Familiarity with generative AI tools.
• Lean tools for problem solving.
• International Welding Engineer qualification.
• NDT Level II certification.
• Auditor certification.
• Understanding of power‑plant sub‑systems and related specifications.
