Maintenance Operator 2

About the role

The Maintenance Operator 2 provides on‑site technical support for a hotel, responding to guest repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of building systems and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections of tools, equipment and machinery.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved procedures.
• Perform mid‑level troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Assist with surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.

Required profile

• Proficiency in at least one of the following: air‑conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicle maintenance, energy conservation or general building management.
• Solid knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools.
• Basic ability to repair or replace PVC copper pipe, including soldering.
• Capability to train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty.
• Commitment to follow all safety, security and company policies.
