Mechanical Technician II – Maintenance

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Mechanical Technician II to join its maintenance team in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria. The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance of diverse mechanical equipment, ensuring reliable operation in a demanding energy‑industry environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as repairs, on assigned mechanical equipment.
• Conduct diagnostic and troubleshooting activities to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Execute advanced function testing to confirm equipment readiness after service.
• Interpret mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints to guide maintenance actions.
• Identify parts, search systems, and procure spares accurately.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in Halliburton’s record‑keeping system and follow Halliburton Management System (HMS) procedures.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to work under general supervision and follow detailed work processes.
