Operator I – Production & Packaging

About the role

We are seeking an Operator I to join our manufacturing team, responsible for operating converting and packaging equipment to produce high‑quality wipes. The role involves handling multiple machines, ensuring smooth production flow, and maintaining product standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate converting line equipment to load, thread, cut, fold, saturate, and stack various cloth materials.
• Run packaging equipment, loading and threading film and labels to create complete wipe packages.
• Manage automated pick‑and‑place boxing lines, load boxes onto skids, shrink‑wrap, and transport pallets using a pallet jack.
• Perform cleaning, hand‑packing, and other support activities for manufacturing.
• Read and follow equipment procedures to run machines efficiently and safely.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot failures, and involve maintenance when needed.
• Document machine parameters and product attributes on required logs and forms.
• Provide backup for other positions and complete additional projects assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand charts, indicators, control instructions, and operator checklists in English.
• Basic math skills, including fractional and decimal calculations.
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 50 lb and work in warm or cold conditions.

• Proficiency in operating industrial converting and packaging machinery.
• Capability to interpret machine controls and adjust settings to meet quality specifications.
• Attention to product quality and ability to make process adjustments within specifications.
• Basic record‑keeping for equipment logs and production documentation.
