Production Operator I

About the role

Medline Industries, LP is hiring an operator for its manufacturing facility. The role covers running converting and packaging lines that turn cloth materials into wipe products, as well as supporting tasks such as cleaning and hand packing.

Key responsibilities

• Operate converting line equipment to load, thread, cut, fold, saturate and stack cloth materials.
• Run packaging equipment, loading and threading film and labels to make complete wipe packages.
• Operate automated pick-and-place boxing lines, load boxes on skids, shrink wrap and move pallets to finished goods with a pallet jack.
• Clean equipment and production areas, hand pack materials and carry out other support activities.
• Read and follow equipment procedures, set up and run machines safely, and spot and report machine failures.
• Keep product quality within specifications, log machine parameters and act as backup to other positions.

Required profile

• High school graduate or GED.
• At least 2 years of work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs and comfortable working in warm and cold environments.

Required skills

• Ability to read charts, indicators, control instructions and operator checklists.
• Reading, writing and understanding English; basic math including fractions and decimals.
