Quality Assurance Lead

About the role

Jamjoom Pharma, a regional pharmaceutical company supplying medicines to more than 36 countries, is hiring a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Lead in Algiers, Algeria. The role oversees quality systems, ensures compliance with GMP and internal standards, and drives continuous improvement across manufacturing and packaging operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality audits and review and approve SOPs and batch records
• Manage deviations, CAPAs and change controls, and monitor key quality performance indicators
• Collaborate with production, quality control, regulatory and supply chain teams so products meet regulatory and company requirements
• Train and mentor team members on quality policies, support regulatory inspections and contribute to risk assessments and process validation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences or a related field; advanced qualifications or quality certifications are an advantage
• Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a regulated healthcare environment, with knowledge of regional and international quality regulations
• Fluency in English and French is beneficial; familiarity with Arabic is an advantage

Required skills

• Quality assurance and quality management, including development, implementation and maintenance of quality systems and procedures
• Solid expertise in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Quality auditing, including internal and external audits, report preparation and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in documentation and reporting tools
• Leadership, communication and collaboration skills, able to guide cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
