Packet core Support Solution Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Solution Architect (Support) to join Ericsson’s Customer Support organization in Algeria. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality support for Packet Core networks, driving complex customer service requests and ensuring network stability through advanced troubleshooting and solution ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive complex Customer Service Requests from initiation to closure, coordinating across support functions.
• Lead investigations of Packet Core network and node issues, performing root‑cause analysis and developing restoration solutions.
• Provide technical leadership during major incidents, emergency handling, customer escalations and crisis situations.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional teams to share knowledge, improve troubleshooting efficiency and create technical knowledge articles.
• Identify product, process and service improvements and translate findings into clear requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of telecommunications experience with extensive Packet Core support, integration or operations expertise.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams during complex investigations and critical customer situations.
• Strong communication and customer‑facing consulting skills.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Packet Core architecture, EPC, call flows, session and mobility management.
• Experience with surrounding domains such as Circuit‑Switched Core, IMS and RAN.
• Expertise in Ericsson Packet Core products (EPG, SGSN‑MME, PCC/PCG, PCRF, DNS/IPWorks).
• Virtualization and cloud technologies: OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud‑native environments.
• UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• IP networking, routing protocols and network design.
• Hardware/software installation, configuration, migration and upgrades.
• First Office Application (FOA) and Proof of Concept (PoC) activities.
• Knowledge of PROPS‑C or similar support/service‑management frameworks.
