Procurement Manager

About the role

Pfizer is hiring a Procurement Manager to lead direct and indirect purchasing within a local site scope, working with Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing and Global Procurement. The role covers strategy, sourcing, negotiation, supplier management and compliance, in line with corporate purchasing policy.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business priorities and demand forecasts into procurement plans and build annual and multi-year roadmaps aligned with budgets and category strategies.
• Lead direct and indirect procurement, optimise total cost of ownership and identify alternative sources, consolidation and demand management opportunities.
• Plan and run competitive sourcing events (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluation) and lead commercial negotiations on price, service, quality, lead time, payment terms and warranties.
• Coordinate contract development and approval with Legal, Finance, Compliance and Business Owners, and engage Global Procurement teams where thresholds require it.
• Ensure transactions follow policies, delegation of authority, budget controls and documentation requirements, with audit-ready purchase requisition and order processes.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage risks and continuity, and drive corrective actions with underperforming suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with anti-bribery, anti-corruption, privacy and local laws, and support internal and external audits.
• Lead and coach procurement colleagues, simplify processes and contribute to regional or global procurement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a related field; advanced degree an advantage.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in direct and/or indirect procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain, including leading complex negotiations and cross-functional projects.
• Experience in regulated pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing or FMCG sectors; multinational experience preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of direct materials and indirect categories, preferably in a manufacturing/site environment.
• Working knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay, contracting, supplier management, internal controls and ERP or e-procurement systems.
• Strong understanding of supplier risk management, competitive sourcing, commercial negotiation and Total Cost of Ownership.
• Professional proficiency in English and French; Arabic is an advantage.
