Product Engineer - Short-Term Rental Platform

About the role

Base360.ai is an AI operating system for short-term rental businesses, bringing reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance and reporting into one platform. It is looking for an ambitious Product Engineer who will turn real customer problems into intuitive, reliable software, working closely with founders, designers and operators.

Key responsibilities

• Work with property managers and internal teams to understand workflows, find friction and decide which problems to solve.
• Build features end-to-end, from idea and prototype through frontend, backend, integrations, testing and deployment.
• Create intuitive interfaces with designers and build event-driven automations such as post-booking cleaning schedules and check-in instructions.
• Develop AI-powered features using LLMs and AI agents for guest communication, maintenance triage and pricing support.
• Build APIs and integrations with Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google and others.
• Build solutions for real operational problems: reservation and availability sync, dynamic pricing, smart locks, guest check-in and upsell journeys, forecasting, cleaning and maintenance automation, owner reporting and alerts.
• Measure results against customer feedback, usage and operational outcomes, and make technical decisions that balance speed, maintainability, security and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and shipping production software.
• Ability to work across frontend and backend systems.
• Product mindset, good judgment on usability and scope, and confidence working with customers, designers and founders.
• Able to work independently and own outcomes; curious about AI, automation and operational efficiency.

Required skills

• React, TypeScript, Python and FastAPI, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, integrations and cloud architecture.
• Bonus: multi-tenant SaaS, marketplace and booking-channel integrations, AI agents, event-driven architectures, Supabase, AWS serverless.
