Senior Software Engineer - AI Operating System for Short-Term Rentals

About the role

Base360.ai is an AI operating system for short-term rental businesses, bringing reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance and reporting into one platform. It is looking for a highly ambitious Senior Software Engineer to build, ship and automate products that directly impact property managers, their teams and their guests. The role spans the entire short-term rental lifecycle, from listings and bookings to guest stays and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications, services and APIs for reservations, availability, pricing, payments, guest experiences and property operations
• Build event-driven automations such as scheduling cleaning after a booking, sending check-in instructions and generating owner statements
• Use LLMs and AI agents to automate guest communication, triage maintenance requests and support pricing decisions
• Create robust APIs connecting internal services, booking channels, third-party providers and customer systems
• Integrate with platforms such as Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI and Google
• Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure for reliability, performance and global growth
• Own projects end-to-end, from understanding the problem to architecture, implementation, deployment and improvement

Required profile

• Strong experience building and owning production-grade software systems
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills and a product mindset
• Bias toward action, shipping and learning from real users
• Ability to balance delivery speed with maintainability and reliability

Required skills

• Experience with FastAPI, Python, React or similar frameworks
• Understanding of APIs, distributed systems and cloud architecture
• Experience designing scalable backend systems and reliable data models
• Bonus: short-term rental, multi-tenant SaaS, marketplace, event-driven architectures, Supabase, AWS serverless
