Senior Planning Engineer - Structural Steel

About the role

Elegancia Steel is looking for a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to support the delivery of a major structural steel and sandwich panel project in Algeria. The role covers scheduling, progress control and reporting across engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery and installation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, including baseline, detailed, weekly and look-ahead programmes.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery and installation activities.
• Track progress, productivity, critical milestones and project performance.
• Prepare progress reports, S-curves, dashboards and management presentations.
• Identify delays, constraints and risks and recommend corrective and recovery actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabrication teams and site teams to ensure schedule compliance.
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) and delay-related submissions when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of planning experience in construction projects.
• Proven experience in structural steel fabrication, erection and cladding works.
• Strong analytical, coordination and communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
• Solid understanding of project controls, construction sequencing, progress monitoring and reporting.
• Primavera P6 scheduling, project controls, Critical Path Method (CPM), baseline programme development, progress monitoring and reporting, recovery planning, EOT analysis, and planning for structural steel fabrication, erection, cladding and sandwich panels.
