Senior QA Engineer

About the role

A team is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across a complex, multi-channel platform. The role treats testing as an engineering discipline, covering test strategy, automation, defect management and continuous improvement of the automation suite.

Key responsibilities

• Own test strategy and test plans covering functional, regression, integration and cross-browser/device scenarios
• Run functional and non-regression testing on new features and existing workflows, with traceability back to business requirements
• Build and maintain test automation (UI, API and contract tests) using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or equivalent
• Manage defects from detection through resolution, with clear reproduction steps and severity assessment
• Validate that delivered functionality matches business rules and acceptance criteria
• Work with developers and business analysts early, and with stakeholders during UAT cycles
• Improve automation coverage, stability and execution speed as the codebase evolves

Required profile

• 5+ years in QA/software testing, owning quality for a complex, multi-user, multi-integration system
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites
• Strong test design skills, including edge cases and negative scenarios
• Rigorous defect documentation and use of bug-tracking and test-management tools
• Clear communication of quality risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
