Senior Software Engineer - AI Operating System for Short-Term Rentals

About the role

Base360.ai is an AI operating system for short-term rental businesses, bringing reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance and reporting into one platform. It is looking for a highly ambitious Senior Software Engineer to help architect and scale the platform, building customer-facing products, automation engines, AI-powered workflows and integrations that cover the entire short-term rental lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications, services and APIs for reservations, availability, pricing, payments, guest experiences and property operations.
• Build event-driven automations such as scheduling cleaning after a booking, sending check-in instructions and generating owner statements.
• Use LLMs and AI agents to automate guest communication, triage maintenance requests and support pricing decisions.
• Create robust APIs connecting internal services, booking channels, third-party providers and customer systems.
• Integrate with platforms such as Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI and Google.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure for reliability, performance and global growth.
• Own projects end-to-end, from understanding the problem to architecture, implementation, deployment and improvement.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and owning production-grade software systems.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a product mindset.
• Bonus: experience with short-term rentals, multi-tenant SaaS, marketplace businesses, AI agents, event-driven architectures or Supabase/AWS serverless.

Required skills

• Experience with FastAPI, Python, React or TypeScript.
• Understanding of APIs, distributed systems and cloud architecture.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems and reliable data models.
